Session 15: A distraught party is joined by some shady characters.

Opening Scene

Noer lies dying of brain fever, surely picked up from his numerous wounds in the kobold's tunnels. Vanessa is distraught, and she and Roger are doing everything they can to keep him alivje. Angel (remember Angel?) has taken the general situation as an opportunity to wander a bit on her own, under the guise of looking for healing plants.

She happens to see an elf (in flowing clothes, but no armor) picking plants in a field she was thinking about exploring. Angel slips away and lets the party know.

They meet

Vanessa, Roger, and Abel go out and find the elf and her halfling companion. These two had set up camp in an unfortunately damp area and were getting ready to look for a better spot, when suddenly several armed people enter their clearing.

They chat a bit, from a safe distance, and the elf offers her services in helping heal Noer.

The camp

The party's camp is much nicer and while the people are a little weird (humans, eh?) it's okay. The elf Persimonny(?) sets to helping the patient, while Nimbus (a Stout princeling in exile) sets up their tents. Everyone gives him a wide berth. He smells rather ripe. Kind of a weird combination of lavender and something the dog whorked up and left for a day after it found the cat's litter box. He seems nice enough? If kind of simple?

Noer

Noer pulls through! He lives!

The Wintergreen Ice Scroll of Crystal

After talking a bit, the elf and halfling agree to join the party in exploring the mines. They are looking for the so-called Wintergreen Ice Scroll of Crystal, some artifact of ancient knowledge which should help them in their living as petty thieves. Rumor places it somewhere in the very Mines of Chaos. They agree to offer what help they can in exchange for full rights to the Scroll if it's found.
